The so called "Piggly Wiggly" dogs lived on the streets of Pikeville for approximately two years. There is proof that the dogs were first dropped in Dunlap. After the Sonic burned down the dogs were packed up and dropped on the streets of Pikeville in 2018. After several litters of puppies and attempted captures the dogs were finally corralled with the assistance of a wildlife specialist from Middle Tennessee Wildlife Rescue. The dogs had become extremely "street wise". Capture took a lot of planning and co-ordination from our team of volunteers. Capture Date: May 31, 2020
